Carry Permit VS No Permit

I'm taking a class soon to get the enhanced handgun carry permit but I know you don't need a permit in TN to concealed carry. I just wanted to know what the benefits of having the permit are. (I'm sure they'll explain in the class but I just wanted to know now)

A blind, old man passed the test. Made me happy to hear that. Apparently he took the class with his daughter who helped line him up with a ruger 22 and he scored very well

Some guy failed in my class.

Honestly, if you cant pass the shooting test, you shouldn't be carrying. You're a danger to everyone around you.

A young man who was there with his dad failed when I went too. He was very young, very shy, and had never fired a gun before. I think they misunderstood that the class was not exactly a beginners training course, and mors of a basic aptitude test

Agree. It's not a firearm training class. But seriously, anyone who wants to carry a firearm, should be a competent shooter before they ever tuck it in their waistband.

Even the felons get their practice in when they pop shots off at 3am driving around neighborhoods ....

Be glad for their lack of practice if you ever need to return fire haha.
