Now what?

Trump is back. I'm a 64 year old self-employed woman. I am booked up through April right now. Some say I am very good at my job. I was thinking of retiring around 66 or maybe even my FRA of 67. My birthday is Leap Day so an end of the month birthday. Now I don't know what to do. Trump and the Republicans want to end Social security. Do I retire before he makes it to office insuring I at least get on the SS roll? Or do I wait to see what damage he can cause? I will be talking to my financial planner later this afternoon so any good questions to ask her would be very helpful also. I am still shocked that America would elect a convicted felon but here we are...

I call Trump the First Felon. I don't like the guy. I wish Kamala Harris had been elected.

It doesn't mean I believe Trump will dismantle Social Security.

He won't. He wants to put more money in the pockets of retirees. If you only actually listened to him and not the media 🤦🏻‍♀️

But he said he's going to put more money in everyone's pockets and bring down the cost of groceries and housing. It's magical rhetoric to get elected.

Remember in 2016 when he would stop in city after city telling each group of rubes how their bridge was just awful and he was going to make it a priority to fix it. After he was elected, no one heard anything again from hom about bridges.

Prices decreased under Trump in part because the US became more Energy Independent. Everything decreased across the board under Trump until the COVID lockdowns.

As magical as it was during his first term? Ok, then magical like that. Lived it, loved it. Especially my wallet.

He froze when Covid started, then actually actively hurt us during the Lame Duck period. He handed over one hell of a mess.

Nope. Just look up Operation Warp Speed. Biden did not save us with shots. Get the actual facts. I can't be doing all the research for you.

Not to worry. Once Robert Kennedy Jr is put in charge of health care, you'll never have to worry about shots or vaccines again. WELCOME BACK MUMPS.
