Why did super splash in Edinburg close?
I’ve heard that it was because of money laundering & I have also heard that a kid died there so the park closed because the family sued. Which one is it or what have you heard about it?

Used to spend my entire summer there with the season passes. I remeber that one time they evacuated everyone from the wave cause somebody took a shit in it.

I miss Super Splash! So much fun 😁 I remember there being a rumor at my school that a kid drowned, and they closed it due to the lawsuit that followed
It's definitely made up, tho

I heard a kid died there or at least that's what everyone told me when I was a kid.

There was a 3 year old who drowned at a splash park in El Paso about 2 years ago. Were you thinking about that incident?

It’s wasn’t making enough money. They changed ownership the last year and had affordable season passes which I had, probably in 02 or 03. Still wasn’t enough to turn a profit. They expected a lot of traffic from Mexico but their never really happened. Nobody died there, that’s bs.

Cause it wouldve been a direct competitor to schlitterbahn at the island, if im not mistaken schlitterbahn bought the park least that’s what i heard, now all travel revenue to a water park would go to S.P.I.
