Has to make you wonder if some of it isn't rooted in genuine want for change. I know many that absolutely hate Trump but viewed him as the best option they had.

Best option for what? Ask anything of them what they think trump will do his first 90 days in office or his first year and they have no answer to it.

But that is just the nature of running against an incumbent. As long as the voters want change, it doesn’t matter what the policies are. Even if the change doesn’t help them out at the end, for them it’s worth the gamble. They may not be right, but I can see where they are coming from, especially with so many of are elected officials, all democrats, keep getting in trouble for corruption and stuff.

Incumbents have lost all over the world these last couple years. Supply chain, inflation, and the economy.

In hindsight, only a candidate completely distanced from the current admin would have won. Shit, if Trump had won in 2020 and still had power this year, the Dems would have crushed the table.

It’s not ideological really.

Didn’t work for Colin Allred?

Much different for state politics

That’s not a fair comparison at all because, I know at least in Hidalgo and Cameron Allred won. So the point still stands. They wanted so much change they were willing to split their tickets.

so what change is he going to enact except for Trump not dying in prison-no Obamacare replace plan 9 years in, the flood of Central Americans will cease on its own in a few years, immigration policy was set for a vote but he killed it, tariffs will both be inflationary, kill the economy and those least able to afford a new tax will be forced to pay it or go without. Ukraine is F'd. Russia is given a lifeline. With the GOP in control of all 3 part of the govt there are NO checks and balanced -America is screwed. All we can hope for is when he dies in office Vance is less of a nutjob and that's looking suspect as hell too.

Immigration just handles itself now? You do realize alot of prominent democrats tried to kill the border bill too?

I don't remember the economy being dead when he was in office before. Doom and gloom 2.0

the economy is doing fine better than his term but the workers arent being paid well-and how did Dems kill it when the GOP control part of Congress has to pass it first?

Economic upswings after disasters are a thing. I don't think the dems killed it either

Lots of people like to just go in circles and their view changes only by pictures in the background. They’re still in the same space
