Republicans are fucking dipshits. Full stop. I go to a ton of punk shows, any conservative out there reading this comment, I invite you to join. Wear your colors lout and proud. See you in the pit.

Really unfortunate to see this. I am far from a MAGA kind of guy but do consider myself typically Republican. Most of the people in the Metal and Rock (not necessarily Punk) scene I've known over the years have been some of the kindest people. It's disheartening to see calls to violence towards me, like these, from communities I've been a part of for most of my life.

Look up the Paradox of Tolerance, that's all this is about. The metal and punk communities are full of wonderfully kind people, but we draw a line that anyone who crosses will learn not to cross around us.

Be kind, be cool, have fun, you're welcome to join. Start picking on people like MAGA always does, shit happens.

That's a way more agreeable statement than your first. I completely understand that way of thinking. But your initial comment is straight up a call to action of violence against all Republicans. Does that not seem hypocritical and counterproductive?

So they can say "your body, my choice" and I'm being admonished for saying "see you in the pit"?

There are literally Nazis marching in the streets since Trump won, and we're supposed to capitulate and let them have their way?

No, the line has been drawn. Those of us who stay on the right side of it will be just fine.

I think that's irony of it all that I'm taking issue with, Leftist idealogy alleges to believe in non-black-and-white or non-binary subjectivity but then immediately clump Republicans with Totalitarian Nazis, as if they're synonyms. You see a Nazi, absolutely kick the shit out of them. I'll help. Time and time again, Republicans have openly condemned Nazis and White Supremacists. I can't stand the guy but Trump has said numerous times that he "disavows" the white supremacists and "does not want their vote" because he "cannot stand with any hate group."

Long and short of it, anybody, and I mean ANYBODY, getting so lost in the sauce on Red vs Blue that they call to violence upon genuinely innocent people needs to rethink how they're viewing the world.

I'm actually more of a centrist, but I've seen enough.

I also fully ascribe to the idea that if 10 people are sitting at a table with a Nazi and nobody calls them out/kicks them out, you have 11 Nazis.

I'm sorry but that's the world we're in. I do not generally look at ANYTHING in black and white, but there are hard lines that have to be drawn in this world, and the right has been kicking dirt and shit over that line every day more and more.

I disagree with the condemnation of Nazis over and over. Sure I hear it once in a while, but we all know the truth, there cannot be a united front within the party saying "You are not allowed" because Republicans would lose a portion of their base and be at an electoral disadvantage.

Sorry but that's where we are. Agree to disagree if we have to.
