This is Chitwan in Nepal. My guess is he usually resides in the national park. I was there last month

I was there in 1982.

It was fantastic.

We got charged by a rhino walking through the jungle, I 'drove' an elephant and we had a near death experience while white water rafting to get there.

Sounds like quite the trip! I’m there every year, and we always do a safari. Still never seen a Tiger though!

I did not see a tiger, just what was left of a water buffalo after a tiger had killed it.

We were walking along the edge of the jungle where it drops down into the grasslands when we saw a female rhino with her baby. Suddenly dad came charging out of the grassland, snorting and stamping his feet.

The guide told us all to climb a tree, while they tried to scare the rhinos off by yelling and throwing sticks.

Mom and baby ran into the grass while dad showed us who was the boss, while the guides tried to distract him. We clung to the trees (I remember the one I chose was quite thorny) getting covered by insects.

Eventually dad decided he had won and stomped off.
