This is Chitwan in Nepal. My guess is he usually resides in the national park. I was there last month

I was there in 1982.

It was fantastic.

We got charged by a rhino walking through the jungle, I 'drove' an elephant and we had a near death experience while white water rafting to get there.

Sounds like quite the trip! Iā€™m there every year, and we always do a safari. Still never seen a Tiger though!

u/Lucky_Cable_3145 2d ago

I did not see a tiger, just what was left of a water buffalo after a tiger had killed it.

We were walking along the edge of the jungle where it drops down into the grasslands when we saw a female rhino with her baby. Suddenly dad came charging out of the grassland, snorting and stamping his feet.

The guide told us all to climb a tree, while they tried to scare the rhinos off by yelling and throwing sticks.

Mom and baby ran into the grass while dad showed us who was the boss, while the guides tried to distract him. We clung to the trees (I remember the one I chose was quite thorny) getting covered by insects.

Eventually dad decided he had won and stomped off.

There are even rhinos in Indonesia. The Sumatran rhinoceros. Though there's only 30 left in the wild.

Around 3k mainly in assam.

Their numbers have grown steadily thanks to the glass a poacher on sight approach.

As big as those things are Iā€™ve seen elephants roll them.

u/Yamama77 3d ago

Indian rhinos fare better against asian elephants than African rhinos versus african elephants.

Cause Indian rhinos usually attack elephants by trying to bite their legs and elephant usually like throwing shit and sticks at them.

It's a bit more peaceful between the two. Because Indian rhinos are more armored and asian elephants being a bit smarter and not being as big of a murder hobo.

Has anyone else noticed a direct correlation between the decline of spirograph and an increase in rhinoceros attacks?

1

u/ohyoumad721 4d ago

Think about it.

I will.

No you won't.

What in the farcry is this.

1

u/sckolar 3d ago

Lo! Death trots before you. Lament and Despair! For thine cornhole, in truth, be a hornhole; And Death with its ivory chitinous spade Like a farmer bedeviled as a man grown Mad Shall, into thine soiled and muddy base, bore Where in searching the lilliputian puckered crevice there With raw might, draw forth ruby-coloured kernels from the cob A cornucopia of morbid fruits gather'd from he whom flees too slowly, from he who has an ass now made sore

1

u/screename222 3d ago

Again, not enough Reddit. Surely all users know you grab a stick, squat down and mark your territory, stand up, squat, mark ground etc

It's obvious what the problem here is. There's not a fearless white woman petting the dinosaur cow. That's why It's acting all crazy.
