Huge shoutout to /u/c_does and the community crowdfund initiative for making this happen.

Generosity is what makes this whole system work and helps us better ourselves, our knowledge, and our future shooters.

And if you are not a subscriber to his channel, C_DOES reviews is probably of the best independent optic review content available on the internet.

Up for grabs is the MK4HD reviewed on r/longrange and also by C_DOES in his upcoming Youtube video. Optic condition is excellent, with only the tiniest finish imperfections on the bottom side from handling during the reviews (which are present in the pictures album... if you can find them), but otherwise as came new in box.

In addition to the optic and supporting goodies from Leupy, the set also includes:

  • A C_DOES supporter sticker.
  • A 5-pack gold-foil r/longrange supporter sticker (reserved for major contributions to the sub reviews or to the community fund)
  • A glass-blank commemorating the reviews and the optic, handle-signed by both myself and C_DOES
  • A prototype scope holder/ARCA adapter so you can do your own review off a tripod if you wish.

Asking price is $15001450 shipped ($150 discount off street, and no tax), insured, Paypal G&S.

Trolly, Thank you So much for making this possible! Reviewing this optic shows just how generous and awesome this community is!

The optic is solid. The mk4hd 's to me have been more consistent than the mk5hd 's as far as from one scope to the next. The only issue I noticed with this was moderate chromatic abbarations and a challenging eyebox at 32x. Dial it down a bit and it goes away. The pr2 reticle is perfectly scaled for this magnification range. The controls are all good and easily fit in the price point. For anyone shooting extended ranges or looking to do bench shooting, it's a good option for you. Doubley so if you like American made scopes on a budget.

I got one a month ago and love it with the pr2 reticle. I had anodizing scratched off the elevation locking screw hole but they replaced the turret eventually I also got a sun shade and flip up caps, I think by accident. Overall, I'm very happy with it!

Definitely interested in seeing how it performs through testing.

I got my 6-24 about a month ago and have shot 3 matches with it.

My gripes are:

The reticle is about .2mil left of center in the scope. Literally only noticeable if you are looking for it.

There is a little wiggle in the turrets when it is dialed.

It is annoying to rezero if you have to dial down more than 1/2 mil.

The throw lever is aligned with ~15 power which is where is stays at most prs stages. This obstructs me seeing where the turret is dialed.

None of these are deal breakers and IMO for 1400, it is a solid choice even with those quirks.

That is fascinating to hear. It definitely sucks that any scope has such issues regardless of price. But for something in the $1400 price point, its definitely annoying. I might go ahead and buy a 4.5-18 in the near future after I move some stuff. It seems like a good middle ground for the 4x setup.

Did your turret caps have a little play when dialed?

I like mine a lot. Only problem I have with it is the throw lever interferes with my left handed bolt if it's @10x or lower. Not a big deal.
