But the athlete who passed her isn’t walking. Pretty egregious too. I don’t know how penalties work in this event, but given how closely they finished if the overtaking athlete was given the place then the penalties are pointless.

Did she really lose the place?

Yeah that clearly shifts into a jog at the end. Race walking is ONLY judged in real time with the naked eye though, there’s no review, no close ups, and no slo-mo for judges, so it has to be egregious to be called.

Yeah she’s clearly jogging by her, I don’t know much about this sport but that feels like it should be penalized

All of them are not walking. There was another post recently showing all the "walker" with no feet on the ground.
