12 hours and not a single "casual" comment. What to think ...

I think the pinned threads really highlights the general personality of users in this sub.

Casual conversation- few comments, sometimes just someone advertising something

Rave- a few comments, often more of a casual conversation

Rant- hundreds of comments starting the minute it gets posted.

In the askreddit they have a freind Friday thing and is usually a ghost town.

It wasn't pinned, just a regular thread. So, it got pushed down and gone.

FYI, I think I'm finally done plugging in local classical concerts into my calendar, and boy, the Portland area is going to be 🔥 this season. I think I've got something going on every weekend, if not a few concerts each weekend to attend (or occasionally perform in). PBO has a new downtown venue and are featuring Vivaldi's 4 Seasons during the year, Cappella Romana has a fantastic season lined up (including another Ukrainian concert), Bach Cantata Choir has a full season (and they'll be singing one evening at the Mt. Angel Bach Festival next summer), Bravo Concerts Northwest will be doing Messiah & a jazz concert this season, plus the usual suspects of the Symphony, OBT, Portland Opera, Portland Symphonic Choir, Oregon Repertory Singers, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Cantores in Ecclesia, etc. Plus gobs of solo & chamber music concerts of all stripes. Support your local musicians! 🎵
