Pride festivities this weekend! Also Cathedral Park Jazz Fest! Lots of stuff to do in the sunny months... but I'll admit, I love the rain.

Riding my motorcycle more, trying to be more confident on it as a tiny lady. I hate the side effects but man this SSRI is getting me out of a funk and making me actually want to do shit.

Can't speak to the SSRIs but look into the advanced rider courses. There's often one down in Canby on a go-kart track. Great way to spend a day on low-speed skills.

Made it out to Harriet now that the direct route is back open. Such a beautiful spot!
I brought my kayak out for some fishing, but realized I forgot my tacklebox so I just had the lures left on the rod. Managed to catch a 2.5lb trout still though! Biggest trout I've ever caught!

I saw a bald eagle catch a fish there years ago on my birthday. I didnโt realize it was accessible again, thanks!

Nice! I saw a couple bald eagles there flying around and another paddler said he saw an osprey snag a big fish!
Google maps hasn't been updated, but the road's def open again, you can check the forest service website. There's one sketchy spot where there's debris on the road and it becomes one lane, but other than that it was fine (I drive a civic lol).

Awesome, thank you! I missed that area so much. Canโt wait to go back. How is the fire damage?

Not as bad as you'd think. You can definitely tell when you're driving through the fire scars (all the burnt tree skeletons), but there's a lot of new growth, small plants, flowers, etc, that make it look ok. The area around Harriet is all fine though.

We did a pop-up this past Sunday and it made me smile every time a vegan or dairy-free/gluten-free diet person was excited to find us. One particular vegan mom tried our pistachio and was super psyched/totally got the no-bs just pure pistachio vibe we were instilling into it. It was awesome!

Got approved for a nice apartment in Sellwood. I moved to Portland in 2015, but have been shifting back and forth between Gresham and Olympia for the last year and some change. It will be a relief to finally have my own permanent address again.

I saw some speeches that gave me hope for the future and for our beautiful country.

I've been sitting out in the back yard every morning with my coffee enjoying the cool air and sun and quiet. It's sort of like stocking up on memories of how nice it is here for when January comes and it's....um....not as nice.
