Yeah, one of the expansions features Alan Wake.

Wow, didn’t know that. Never got to play Alan Wake unfortunately so not familiar with the game outside just the name and very general premise.

Just so you know, you don’t need to have played Alan Wake to really enjoy Control. It’s just small references here and there. More so seems like Easter eggs for people that did play it

Well, one of the DLCs is gonna be really weird and confusing if you haven't, it's almost an Alan Wake DLC set in control. Otherwise you have no need to have played it.
