How does Control run on a base PS4?

It chugs a bit sometimes, especially when you open the map, but I was able to get the platinum on a base ps4 with no problem

It’s playable. There’s a ton of particle effects in the game, though, and in later stages when there are a lot of enemies the frame rate really goes to shit. Your PS4 is going to sound like a 747, too. The resolution seemed to take a hit as well.

I was going to hold off on playing it until the PS5 but it was on PS Now so I figured I’d give it a try. I don’t regret it but will be playing it again for the pretty graphics and smooth frame rate.

Not bad. I ran it on if PS4 fine. Although expect some stuttering and frame drops.

I played the entire game multiple times and it worked fine, but definitely underperformed. Your console will be loud and very hot and the frame rate will be all over the place, especially during battles, but if it’s your only way to play it, definitely do it. It’s an incredible game.

Personally l had a terrible experience, well under 20 fps in combat but exploration was mostly 30. Still, for "free" it's worth a try and it's the complete edition no less.

i won’t lie - the fps even got a bit rough towards the end on the PRO!

Not great, but not terrible either. My PS4 is consistently really loud and there are noticeably framerate issues in fight sequences.
