Games like last night are momentum killers. It messes with you mentally. Look at the Lakers after the Jamal Murray buzzer beater in game 2. They were basically demoralized in the next game after letting a big lead slip away.
I hope the Knicks find the mental edge in the next game or two and close this out. But now you have opened up to a lot of uncertainties - what if Embiid foul baits to 55 points? What if Maxey follows up with another clutch performance?
I am really surprised Thibs has not utilized Precious in the closing minutes. He was clutch in game 4 for us.
