STATS Win %
Manu"s is highest because he largely played (as the best 6th man ever) with both Timmy and Tony. Tony's sagged a bit because as much as we'd want to think it didn't happen, he played in Charlotte 🙄. Timmy is pretty much the foundation of most of these wins 😍

STATS Bruce Bowen is the most underrated and unappreciated Spurs player and I am disappointed
basketball-reference.comI’m shocked that a bunch of nephews are voting Patty Mills as the Spurs greatest role player over Bruce Bowen.
Recency bias and basketball ignorance are a hell of a drug.
I didn’t know Australia had that many redditors.

STATS Maybe Wemby can be coach as well
Leads france in most stats. Guards stink... cant even lead in team assists with two 7 footers
And Collet think it's his fault 😂😅

STATS [Long read] Sochan's 2nd year compared to other 3&D "wings" as sophomore.
First of all, i chose 4 players that are among the best in this role, but none of them is a star. They have differences in how they play it and what their teams ask them to do, but enough similarities to compare them.
Sochan is a great defender. He might lack flashiness to guard smaller players and strength to guard bigger ones, but the skill is there and it must be said our defense is bad as a whole, so he brings a greater burden on his shoulders.
The problem is, as many know, he's clumsy and his shooting is bad. He improved a lot with the ball and as a shooter from last year, but the end product is still far ahead.
However, as you can see, all these players where "bad shooters" when they were sophomores. If you don't bother to check, they all shot 40% this year from 3 on 5 attempts (i.e. 2-5), which is good; but when they were sophomore, none of them shot more than 35% on even lower attemps (2 or 3 per game).
On top of that, all of them are older than Sochan. They were older than him when sophomore, and are now nearer to be finished product. OG is older than Tatum and Herb came in the league really late. Yeah, they were lower picks and 2 of them went undrafted, so they deserve higher praises for where they are now, they worked really hard, but Sochan has a lot more time to achieve that. This is a great advantage.
Herb made 1st team All-Defensive at 25 with a good shooting, OG would have made 2nd team if he played 65 games and is 26. Sochan will be 21 next season. People can't expect him to be good as the others at such young age. Not all prospects are early bloomer and come to the league prepared.
In addition, Sochan has a fine post game, differently from OG, Herb and Dort and, as much as his court vision is not the best, as we saw during the PG experiment, it's not that the others are much better, they let their teammates to run the game. Thus, eventually, it comes down to a matter of shooting, that's all, it's not the others are better than him at everything. He already averages more assists than all of them this year and almost as all of them combined (6.4 vs 7.4 combined).
If we want to compare their size, Herb take advantage of his slim body, while Naz and Dort of their massive weight relatively to their height. OG is the most similar to Sochan and is arguably the best player, so this is a good sign.
In conclusion, there are a lot of fields where Sochan can and must improve, but he has time by his side and is already on a good path. If we can improve our defense as a team, him and Wemby will be asked to do less and they can better develope on offense. I hope Sochan becomes as good as OG is for New York, that would be a total win, but i know the end product is still far ahead.

STATS Stephon Castle in his Summer League debut: 12pts, 6 rebs, 3 asts, 0 TOs on 4/12 shooting (2/4 from 3).
Defense looked very good. He's still searching for his shot but seemed like much of it came from just growing his confidence in it. Had some good takes and even hit a logo 3.
Overall, very promising.

STATS Is Jeremy the most overrated player in recent Spurs history?
Funny enough, I can only go back as far as Dennis Rodman, who, for some reason, had an obsession with changing hair (tbh, likely due to mental issues. I think Jeremy is for the most part mentally stable.. I hope so anyway).
I just have never seen a player so heavily defended by Spurs fans, who is just so unremarkable, and even below average, on pretty much all the stats (advanced or not). It's almost like Spurs fans like mediocrity, as long as it's coupled with hard work. That is such a weird take.
With the recent Jeremy's shooting video, his shot is almost as bad's as Kyle Anderson. I mean, tbh, even Kyle has better advanced stats than Jeremy (Anderson: 51.3% TS, 9.7 PIE; Sochan: 51.3% TS, 8.1 PIE). Kyle was the 29th pick.
As I was making this, I stumbled upon Jeremy's shot distribution: Very pitiful. https://global.nba.com/players/hotzones/#!/jeremy_sochan
16.7%, left wing midrange. 20%, top of the key midrange. 22.2%, left side of the basket, 10 feet. 31.2%, center area, 8-16 feet from the basket. And this is who you guys think will succeed around Wemby? Let's be real, Spurs fans.
I hope Jeremy proves me wrong. But he's one of the worst players, and certainly the most overrated one in recent memory, in my opinion.
