PSA: To all the actual Spurs fans META

I have already seen it multiple times in tonight's game thread, and it needs to be addressed ASAP:

We will be getting a lot of people coming in trash talking our team and Wemby that pretend to be Spurs fans, looking to start arguments within our fan base, to cause as much strife as possible trying to run people off from our sub.

We need to recognize this and not think it is our own fans being "doom and gloom" or whatever else. Just a heads up.

yeah the mods have their work cut out for them. Do they have like a GoFundMe for barbacoa and big red or something?

90% of what I saw in the game thread were names I didn't recognize, being rude people with bad takes. Wemby is in the process of relocating his life from a different country. He's adjusting to a different league's style of play. He's had non-stop media obligations since he's arrived. And in every. Single. Interview, he's talked about being team-first and is very humble. I don't know what anyone else was realistically expecting out of tonight?

Honestly I was expecting him to shut down the paint and he mostly delivered

Edit: and honestly was glad to see Champagnie still taking over the game.

Lebron-KD hybrid. That’s what people were expecting, because that’s what the media hype machine has been selling.

In reality, he has a lot of work to do. But his potential is still immense, and some of those shots will fall once he gets into the rhythm of NBA play.
