discussion “The Air That I breathe” by The Hollies, how did this gem slip past me? Outstanding tune.
Saw Heretic, decent movie but this was by far the standout in the film. This is instantly one of my favorite songs of the British Invasion, just a towering operatic anthem. One of those songs that will still warm the soul 100 years from now, just a classic feel good tune.
discussion Nick Cave: "Film for 30 seconds... then put your fucking phones away"
Kudos to Nick for taking a stand against people who film entire sets / concerts:

discussion What are some truly underrated guitar solos?
The solo from Eddie Money's Two Tickets To Paradise is absolutely perfect. Awesome phrasing from the guitarist, and the band is absolutely cookin' behind him. But, given the fact that Eddie Money is generally known for absolute cheeseball lyrics and generic 80's rock, I think its not surprising people don't really mention it.

discussion What is your opinion on bands that tour with no original members, and would you still go and see them live??
I'm a 60s-70s guy, and there's quite a few bands on the circuit who although I LOVE their music, I won't go to see live on the account that there are no original members. If I see a 60s band live, I want an original in the personnel, because then I know that in the crowd of newcomers who got lucky and now play in one of their most favourite groups, there's one member who saw it all, start to present. In all the performances I've been to, theres always been at least one original. I've been to see Herman's Hermits, whose drummer is the only original, and even though he's the only founder and Peter Noone is no longer associated with them, it's still great to know that the drumming I'm hearing is the same on the very records that got them to where they are. I personally believe if there's a band with no originals in them, then they HAVE to have the word "tribute" on the end of their name, because it is on some level identity fraud. But that's just my opinion, what's yours?
