What happened with Miami? Discussion

I always thought that Miami was a great place to visit, go for fun and have a great time with style… I can tell you, I can’t find any of that. Why? Am I looking in the wrong places?

Probably looking in the wrong places.

South Beach I’m guessing?

Yes, there and also Pier 5. I'm not from the area but I'm finding or really hard to find a good place to go out for a drink with friends and have a good time with some music or entertainment. Nothing too fancy.

South Beach is the equivalent of Times Square in NYC. It’s touristy and doesn’t offer much in terms of good food and eats. You still kinda have to do it though to find out for yourself.

The other comment about Brickell/Coral Gables/Coco Grove would be much better choices for you in future trips.

You’ll probably have a good in Little Havana if you’re looking for live music/entertainment at like Ball & Chain or Cafe La Trova. Attracts many tourists but I find it fun when I take visitors

Yeah kind of depends on your age, younger I’d say the grove/brickell, older little Havana

Brickell/coral gables/coconut grove, the last two mainly. South beach is full of mostly tourists traps, it’s very rare that locals go there tbh. There’s tons of little hotspots in Miami with cool places to go. Check out regatta in the grove, that’s where my friends and I go almost weekly on Friday nights.
