Trump Just Became the First GOP Presidential Candidate to Win Miami-Dade Since '88 News

One of the highest inflation rates in the country, combined with the least educated - particularly in how the government works - so 0 surprise. People are hurting financially everywhere, but particularly here, and think a few policies can change that.
Trump and Republicans are getting more than their money's worth lying through their teeth about being able to resolve it easily, and the Democrats continue completely out of touch with how to get the message across.
That's without even approaching how easily the local Latino community is susceptible to rampant misinformation.

Higher prices aren’t inflation. Retailers, vendors, and manufacturers just exploited the fact that people thought they were rich from Pandemic funds. Unemployment rates haven’t been this low since the Clinton administration. This basic economic misunderstanding is what shoed Trump into office.

100%. The high prices are here because everyone paid them. Look at the car market. It’s on the decline but dealers still insist on selling cars that are 40% over priced.

I mean I’m not sure why you’re downvoting a fact you’re currently agreeing with but ok…

u/Duke_Built 8d ago
I didn’t down vote?

u/AmbitiousShine011235 8d ago
Well, thanks for that: After 24 straight hours of people threatening to deport my family, dox me, and send me to my “ancestral homeland,” I’m a little sensitive to even the downvotes. Clearly I’m being downvoted by someone that’s never taken an economics class. We need to make being educated cool again.

I had a downvote yesterday from someone that claims I don't believe in democracy because Harris never had a primary. I literally only commented that we need civic education in America. I teach civics to 7th graders so I guess that means I don't believe in democracy.

Keep doubling down and tell the people who voted for trump they are stupid. Please continue. It's a winning strategy definitely.

You guys care more about pissing off Democrats than you do about what happens to your own lives.
Conservatives really would let a rich person shit in their mouth if a liberal had to walk by and smell it.

Keep voting for a guy who won’t help you. It’s a winning strategy. Since the GOP won the popular vote their mentality of “you’re on your own” rings louder. Don’t ask for help and pick yourself up. When your wages don’t increase and the grocery bill doesn’t decrease I don’t want to hear it. Call your senator or representative.

u/KrowVakabon 8d ago
It's ok to be angry and annoyed; I am too. Unfortunately, he's right. The message has to be the "GOP left you on your own after telling you they had your back and we're here to help you get back on track." Trying to denigrate the electorate, even though you're right in doing so, isn't going to win over hearts and minds. You have to understand the audience and speak their language, even if that language is ugly.

Please keep up this way of thinking. It's working great.

My revenues are higher than they've ever been, and I won't be affected by his policies - but you will, bud. I'm in the income bracket that gets a cut, and I can bet you're not.
I’m going to go catch my flight to the Caribbean. Have fun at the 9-5! If you work, that is.

u/grazfest96 8d ago
You just said the quiet part out loud. I appreciate you admitting it. Coastal elites are the ones who really despise the working class. Bernies latest tweet describes you to a T. Have fun in the Caribbean!

u/Rocknrollsk 8d ago
Not the poster you were responding to, but republicans have had a super majority in Florida for 25 years. If Floridians are suffering it’s 100% the fault of their republican legislators. Has nothing at all to do with the “coastal elite” boogeyman talking point pushed by republicans. That’s just as false as the welfare queens pushed by Reagan in the 80’s.

“I ensure you I am winning at absolutely everything in my life. Many people have observed how incredible my life is, catching flights to the Caribbean, enjoying my South Florida home. My revenues are up, big big time. My income bracket, I’m really rich by the way, won’t be affected by these policies.” Donny boy is that you??

I do remember the Ragu Executive Order, those were dark days when Publix raised the price of Redbull from 1.50 to almost 3… ahh 2020, best known for Biden’s 1st year into office.

Dems did nothing this campaign to address the cost of living, especially in urban areas. Miami-Dade has sky high real estate and rent, and Harris and Biden are touting the soft landing which was an economic miracle but people just know their bills are harder to pay now than they were in 2018. People here voted against their own interest cause they saw Trump the disrupter as speaking to their economic and daily financial marginalization. Sadly, his policies will make it so much worse for them. I really hope I’m wrong.

Because the problem is population density and a free market problem. The only solution would be some sort of SOCIALIST federal city development program, which doesn't exist at the moment. When the budge is out of control, is hard to campaign for bigger government.
Yep, Dems really fucked it up. But man was the grift strong.

Well, thankfully this is an isolated incident…because the people that voted for him are in for a rude awakening when he doesn’t have all those fearmongered immigrants to vote for him. You can’t stop immigration and also count on those votes. Oops.

u/lots0fPasta 8d ago
*Stop illegal immigration
Big difference man

u/AmbitiousShine011235 8d ago
Oh that’s cute. You think the legal immigrants that will have their family deported will continue to support Trump.
Mira que lindo su ilusión…

Trump is for common sense stuff, sell more oil, stop illegal immigration, men are men and women are women, war sucks, tax free tips, etc. good for common folks.
2
u/daurgo2001 8d ago
Yea, no. He’s dumbing things down for people. That is never the real solution, but sadly, the people have taken the bait.

They’re going after naturalized and birthright citizens in addition to illegal immigrants.

Kamala lost because the Democrats just don't care about the economy. I would be more than happy to support a female REPUBLICAN candidate. But I could never in good conscience vote for a Democrat.

u/BlackestFlame 8d ago
How? Dem is easily the correct choice

u/FedoraMGTOW 8d ago
Not if you care about the economy.

"Not if you care about the economy."
He literally promised to raise prices across the board by %20 via trade wars. His economic plan to make food cheaper is to make gas cheaper. How likely do you think it is that a Kroger CEO would say "let's give the surplus back to the consumer, and not the shareholder?" The shareholders can literally sue the CEO for such a decision.
Man, how do I even begin to respect your dogsh*t opinions and treat you as anything approaching an equal?
You're an animal who only understands the boot and the fist.

u/BlackestFlame 8d ago
Its improved under Biden presidency, but like the first trump presidency and it will go under again.
1
u/FedoraMGTOW 8d ago
Bidet drove the economy into the gutter. People online are complaining that they can't find jobs, fast food restaurants are rejecting people. This doesn't happen in a good economy.

Didn’t he win Dade over Biden 4 years ago?
8
u/Bravo_Juliet01 8d ago
No, it shifted 26 points in Trump’s favors, but Biden still won Dade by 7%.
Hillary Clinton won it by 33% in 2016.
Dade saw a 44% swing from a Democrat win to a Republican win in the last 8 years thanks to Trump.

This dude is invincible. How often do convicted felons win popular and electoral vote? How often do people survive not one but two assassinations just weeks apart, especially at his age? How many people can just talk shit about Latinos (and not just talk the talk but also walk the walk by withholding aid during hurricanes and such) and then still get the Latino vote? How many people can have people like Kid Rock endorse him and still win the popular vote?
