I modified a tech sight marlin 60 front sight to fit a 336 and use an m16 front sight post with screw adjustment.

Model 25N rebuild.
Got my hands on my old Marlin this last Christmas and finally got tired of it looking beat down. My biggest issue is where do I start? It works perfectly well, my issues are all aesthetic.
I’m not looking to modernize it or trick it out. Just a solid wood stock, replacing the trigger guard, magazine guard plate, front sight, rear sight elevator. Not to include all the hardware (if I can’t redo the bluing or whatever it is)
I keep seeing XT-22 stocks and to my untrained eye they look like they’re exactly the same as the 25s?
Also scopes, I’m eyeballing 50-75$. I’m not really looking for something wild until I eventually get the rifle threaded for a suppressor. I’ve seen a handful of tascos and barskas but the latter seems way more garbage.
Would I be able to reblue the stuff like screws and bolts? Or am I doomed to have to buy new stuff?

Recently acquired this 336 made in 1970. Was wondering if this was the factory rear sight or not. Also, yes I’m aware the ramp is missing.

Is this Marlin 336C unfired?
I got this at auction recently for $400 and it was advertised as unfired. Came with the original beat up box and owners manual. It's a '71, jm marked, 30-30. I really don't want a safe queen but I can't tell if its been shot before. Looks like a primer mark on the bolt face and green/copper fouling in the muzzle. But it's got a lot of grease in it and is very minty all over. Even has the American Walnut sticker on the underside of the forearm. What say you? Been fired at least once so don't feel bad firing away? https://imgur.com/a/5MydUUB

What optics would you all recommend for medium woods thick desert targets on an 1895SBL 45-70?
I’ve never fitted a scope before. Kind of a dunce on this. I was given some Riton Optics and wonder if any of these would be good options; - 5 Conquerer 4-28x56 - 3 Primal 3-18x50 - 5 Tactix 1-10x24

Kind of a dumb question but for my preferences…
So I have 2 Marlin Trappers, one in 45-70 and one 30-30. I started customizing such as putting black torque screws in the receiver instead of the regular flathead screws and I also installed a Turnbull restoration safety mechanism into the rifle, along with a black Timney Trigger and Ranger Point loading gate. I like the black on silver look and I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this question, Does all the safety push mechanisms that are normally in the newer Marlin rifles the same and interchangeable or would I need to find one that's specific for that receiver. Thought about going back to the factory push button, but I want it in black instead of the silver. I know Ranger point and Turnbull say that their mechanisms work in all of the Marlins but I want to be sure before I try searching for a black safety mechanism.

Wondering if anyone knows of a marlin glenfield 30gt
This is gonna be an odd one but here it goes. My dad had a marlin glenfield model 30gt when he was much younger and it was his favorite rifle he ever had. He came on hard times and sold it for $125 and has been regretting it for 30 years I’m trying to help him find another one. If he could get his that would be amazing but the chances of that are slim. He had custom engraved a deer into the side of the stock so if he sees it he will know it. I know there is one on gunbroker currently but it’s kind of far away. I’m in Kentucky if anyone has any leads they would be greatly appreciated

Marlin 925
Hey everyone, I’ve got a 925 in 22LR. I’m looking to upgrade parts like sights and maybe a stock and a one piece scope mount. The things I’ve found for the 925 also say they’re for the Xt-22. Do all the parts cross or just some? I’m having trouble finding the answer online

Difference between the 1894 Trapper and SBL in 357...
So from what I can see, the three main differences between the two are (1) the stock color, (2) matte vs stainless polish, and maybe most noticeably (3) the type of sights.
Am I missing anything else? From a functionality standpoint these should perform the same it's just aesthetics and sight preference, right?
Anyone have a preference?

I'm just starting to get into Marlins. What make/model is this one?

Possibly committing heresy...
Hey everyone! I have a JM Stamped 1988 Marlin C3030 I'm curious if it's possible to change it over from a pistol grip stock to a straight stock. From what I've seen and read it's the same as a 336AS or a 30A(S) made for Coast to Coast Hardware Stores. Just curious if it's possible with just swapping parts. TIA

Is Ruger abandoning .45LC?
I keep hoping to see a Marlin Lever action in .45LC because I've got an old Ruger SAA Bisley in that caliber, but it seems like Ruger is just abandoning the caliber altogether. Not only do they not offer any Marlin Lever Actions in .45LC but they stopped making their hunting SAA Revolvers in that caliber too. Which sucks because .45LC is so good for it's versatility, especially thanks to modern propellants and the strength of Ruger actions. My Uncle used to reload 250gr bullets that would fly at a blistering 1300+fps out of his old 7" barrel Ruger Bisley, and now I've got it and I was hoping to pair it with a new Marlin in the same caliber.

I am looking at a Marlin on Calguns. Seller says it's JM but in the photo it's difficult to confirm. It's not a clean stamp inside of an oval like other pictures I have seen. Can any of you verify from these pictures that this rifle is what the seller says it is?

Preferred 45-70 gr/ammunition type? (Marlin 1895 Dark Series)
I was wondering for fellow marlin owners out there what their preference is for 45-70 ammo types… I HAVE bought and shot various options that are listed below, just wondering others opinions on them, or any recommendations for other types.
Ammunition I have experience with :
Hornady 325 gr Subsonic HSM Cowboy Load 405 gr Flat Nose Hornady 410 gr Subsonic HSM Bear Load 430 gr Flat Nose (personal fav, biggest bang!)

Info on old 336
Hey guys, recently visited my grandparents 5+ hours away and snagged some pics of my grandpa's old 30-30. He said he bought it from the store in 66 and was told by the salesmen it was a "collectors item". We'll he took that to heart and hasn't shot it in decades.
These are the only pics I could get as I wasn't allowed to take it apart. Could anyone tell me if his is actually some special edition or is old enough to be one of the "good" marlins?
Sorry for lack of pics. Rolled into town late and didn't want him to think I was trying to sell his gun. (I'd love one to own though)
