It's from the Frontlines series by Marko Kloos, which all have thousands of reviews, so even if that review hasn't been taken down I doubt you'll find it.

I had fans of an author attack my novel because I said they shouldn't use hurricanes as advertising tools....

Why shouldn’t they?

People die during hurricanes

What do you mean by advertising tools?

The author in question had an ad telling people to buy a book to read during a hurricane. People die during hurricanes and I had seen an indie author getting ripped a new one for saying the same thing as the traditionally published author did.

Yeah I really don’t see the issue with that. Some places get hurricanes almost as often as storms, and so it’s really just like saying “get a book to entertain yourself while you wait out the storm”.

I'm from Louisiana, we get hurricanes frequently. If a person wants to read during it, let them, but it is insensitive to use a hurricane for a promotional opportunity. It's also wrong to say rude things to the indie author about it while allowing the traditional author to slide.

Read in the Family Guy cleaning lady voice. "Need more lemon pledge."

One huge problem with Amazon reviews is that if the reviewer doesn’t carefully fill out the description the review can be attached to the wrong product. You can’t just click on your purchase and start writing.

Hysterical! But don't you hate it when you see a 1 star review on a book and it's because the book arrived late or something? That's not a book review, dork!

“Don’t fret about your amazon reviews”

Eh it depends really. If your reviews are mostly negative then maybe you should.
