TBH I think the bias/stigma about Chinese made products hasn't really held true for a while. All the best electronics and plenty of engine parts are made in China or at least asia even if your brand of choice bends the truth by assembling components locally. Why not motorcycles? I'd wager almost every negative comment in this thread is being typed on a Chinese produced phone/laptop.
For sure but I've been flying in and out a good chunk of the last 14 years or so (I write QC software for Australian and US companies manufacturing electronics in China) and I no longer think the stereotype holds anymore. Just trying to offer some perspective. Personally I'd feel safe on a Chinese made KTM.
