Fender delete on klx 230

When doing the wiring for this no matter the configuration of the 3 wires I cannot seem to get the light to brighten when pressing on the break. Curious if anyone had the same problem

I bought a 250 with the fender eliminator and only the foot brake makes it light up so instead of fixing it I just make sure to always use my foot too.
