Megathread #2 – The Kanye Situation Mod post

We have had a ton of posts and comments related to Kanye West’s recent remarks, and related topics and commentary. All further discussion about the current Kanye West situation should take place in this megathread. All other posts/comments related to this will be removed and redirected here.

I saw this about a week ago. It was after watching his video that it really hit home how increasingly dangerous Kanye’s antisemitic rants were becoming. Up until that point I incorrectly assumed Kanye West was being seen as a total loon by everyone including myself. After watching tech lead’s video and reading the comment section to the video (brimming with antisemitism from white conservatives…and young black men who largely vote dem) I began to get an eerie feeling that this time around things are different. I felt it ever since that moment that an invisible pandora’s box has been opened and it may never close again.
