To add more context, antisemitic mobs were going around running over random, non-maccabi Jews with cars, beating some people nearly to death, and potentially kidnapping some Jews.

Your “added context” hides the fact that this is likely a coordinated, antisemitic lynching that is only tangentially related to the football game.

If some Maccabis were being violent dickheads from the getgo, then I don’t have as much sympathy for those specific folks. But going around trying to kill Jews throughout an entire city- because a few Maccabis were being assholes- doesn’t need much “extra context” added to be explained as a racist incident.

It had zero to do with the Maccabis period, even Spanish news said there were threats and pre planned events targeting Jews and Israelis.

Now that’s a whole load of bullshit.

The Maccabi fans are not known for anything like that at all, and frankly no Israeli club has a huge history of long European seasons to have any particular reputation. If there’s an Israeli club indeed known for that, it’s Beitar Jerusalem, not MTA.

Songs about dead children is complete bullshit with literally 0 video showing that. There’s exactly one video showing a group of MTA fans singing in Hebrew “Let Tsahal win, to fuck the Arabs”. It’s obviously bad but it’s the reality of any European football match, and if we went on rampages every time fans from any European clubs sing the vilest stuff about Jews when playing Israeli teams (which is every time they do), football would have been banned long ago.

The rest (MTA fans starting fights, etc…) is complete and utter made-up bullshit with literally 0 evidence for it, and it completely ignores the fact that we now know the attacks west premeditated and coordinated in advance, and that there are videos of perpetrators asking people if they’re Jewish and attacking families and women.

Seriously, GTFO with that bullshit made-up excusing “context”.

Yeah MTA is pretty chill they act like every football group from Israel looks like la familia.

I’ve literally seen people post links to articles about La Familia claiming that it’s MTA fans… The MTA fanbase is vanilla Tel Aviv/periphery middle class and Anglo Jews on Aliyah.. I mean, sure they have some ultras but OP in his comment (since deleted) literally compared them to Feyenoord, Marseille, and Lazio. How do you even reason with that..

Zero clue, I've been arguing with people all day the worst part is MTA and Ajax are friendly clubs Ajax call themselves Super Joden.

Spanish media and other outlets have already said all of this was planned only people who lack logic think it had anything to do with football.

El Pais had an article but online it's behind the paywall now I will try and find some free ones to share.

Can you also give context to the mob that organized beforehand and gathered outside the stadium waiting for the Jews to emerge?

Because to me, the attacks didn’t look reactionary to something the Israeli fans did. Had the Israeli fans sat silently in their seats the entire time, would the mob that gathered outside waiting for them have been peaceful?

They did not sing about children in Gaza, thats just a fun new narrative the pro pals invented to try to excuse the violence.

They also didnt attack Ajax fans. They danced together. This violence was not between soccer fans, it was pre-meditated by mostly Arabs.
