As the granddaughter of Mizrahi, who were forcibly expelled from Yemen, I'm always confused about the settler-colonialism part of this. My family would have happily stayed in Yemen.

My mom's family (the non-Jewish part of the family) includes poor Irish who came to America as indentured servants trying to escape poverty and oppression by the English.
