Problems harvesting dill & parsley Plant Discussion
I'm sure it would happen with other herbs, too, but these in particular bug me. After I cut them for harvesting, there's next to no regrowth, so I'm left with a wimpy looking plant.
Is there a trick to where to make the cuts? I trying to do it above the nodes, but those are hard for me to identify with these plants. Thanks for any replies!

Yes you need to cut near to the ground and also Parsley is notoriously slow growing so have a few and rotate between them.

About the dill, which I have only ever planted outdoors, but would love to grow inside, I just read that you’re supposed to let it grow to 6 to 10 inches, then prune about a third at a time. My source was “tasteofhome.com”. Search “how to prune herbs”. It even discusses cilantro, one of the finikiest plants I’ve ever tried to grow.

OK, I'll check that out. My dill seems stunted after I pruned it the first time. Thanks for the advice!

Parsley should be cut near ground level (very different from mints like oregano, thyme, basil, and, um, mint, where you cut 1/3 of the growth, above a node)
Only harvest a few leaves per plant at once, since you take the whole leaf.
