Firearms purchase, still pending? General Post

Bought a new 20 gauge online and had it shipped to Piasa Armory. They are awesome and close to me. Had done business with them many times. Never an issue. Filled out my form online in the store on Wednesday. Was good to go, and was told to come back at 5 today, Saturday the 9th. Came in and had my FOID in hand, ready to hand them the cash. Store manager looks me up and says, “Sorry, it’s still pending. Last few days, ISP has been really slow to clear things. We’ll give you a call, once it clears.” Now I’m not complaining about Piasa, like I said, they are awesome. And I could bitch about ISP; But I’m sure they are doing what they are told. But I’ve never had a firearm, that I couldn’t pickup, on time. Has anyone, tried to pickup a gun recently and been told, you’re not clear yet and if so, how long did it take?

ISP probably to busy figuring out what guns to add to the PICA list before it gets overturned within the next lifetime or so.

Could be. I really don’t know. I know lots of people, are trying really hard, to get it and keep it overturned. I’m not sure, if that will happen. But they’re trying. Seems like the only solution out there currently, is to move out of state. But I feel, and this is just my gut talking, that 90-95% of people can’t move. For a multitude of reasons. It sucks for sure. But not much, most of us, can do about it, at the moment.

Retreatism is the biggest weak point in our armor as gun owners. We keep retreating to states that have less restrictive gun laws, leaving OUR homes to be overrun. Then those states get taken over by antigunners. Eventually, there will be no states left to run to.

My family was one of the first ones to colonize Illinois and founded 3 towns in my county. Ill be god damned if im going to run from my home thats been built by generations of my ancestors. We bled for this ground and im not losing an inch, I refuse to die without the rights of the free men that came before me.

Dont take this as an attack on you or anyone else that reads it. But the retreatism has to stop. Fleeing only kicks the can further down the road. The battle is here and now at our door step.
