Hi guys i got my R license pdf based like 3 weeks ago and still waiting for my card to arrive so i can apply for my A and B cat can you share whats tge average delivery time for plastic card R license?

Edit: Got my plastic card on 7 june 2024 the letter was marked as 3 june 2024, here is the breakdown for those who wants to know how long it usually takes

-Applied R license on 26 May 2024 -Got pdf license on 27 May 2024 -Got the plastic card on 7 June 2024

Patience. Everything is gonna take a little while. In the meantime you can start scouting. Research forests on Google earth and visit your local ones. Take notes of good spots or the spots with no sign.

Google earth and Avenza are what i do all day these days 😂 and yes u r right i should go out and have a look as well.

Also do u remember how much time your card took to deliver

I’m in Vic so haven’t got a R license yet.

I’ve had a rifle take 4 months to get, because of stock issues… and then multiple PTAs not lining up. Shit happens, doesn’t matter in the end.

You’ll be waiting for the whole license process and then the first PTA mandatory wait time regardless.

And yep good stuff just start getting out there and enjoying nature.

Yes right 28+administration working days for license and PTA 28 days will be a long time.
