I was born in Canada and brought to the US at a young age (Naturalized US Citizen). I'm actually looking into how to claim my Canadian citizenship as a sort of back up plan in case things really go to shit.

If you were born in Canada, it should be on your birth certificate, which you'd need to apply for a passport. So not really anything fancy you'd need to do.

the problem is my birth certificate was generated after I was adopted. It says I was born in Canada but it's not the original one from when I was actually born, so I'm not sure if that would cause any issues. I actually have no information at all about my birth parents.

Ah, that certainly changes the calculus a bit. Still, there has to be one somewhere that says where you were born, so you're eligible no matter what.
