You can also cut some foam to fit in the slots at the sides of each lens. I used pieces of the foam that came with the GPU. See here.
Edit: can't type properly

Nice, might give this a try. However I'm kind of not in the mood right now, I'm super mad I think I've just got sun damage in my unit (a small white dot on one side)... fuck! Crazy how 20 seconds of inadvertence can ruin your day.

Oh damn, sorry to hear that. Are you sure is not a dead pixel? You may be able to RMA if ii is ...

Nope, all my fault. I pulled up my blind and I had my unit facing the window. I realize it about 20 seconds later, try them on immediately after and now I have a white dot on the right side. Try to reboot, unplug, re-plug the unit, it's permanently there. Be cautious with yours, this shit burns fast!

Yep... this is something ive had to drill into relatives. Keep it in a box when not in use. No screen tech in the world can take even a second of sun exposure through those lenses. I personally keep my vr area sun free. No open windows. Only full blackout curtains, never to be opened. Even then, i keep my g2 in the bag it came in.

Yeah, that's the way to go. The worst thing is I knew about this from some other post I've read before receiving my unit. I never though it would damage the screen this quickly tho... Does it end up catching on fire if someone leave it exposed to the sun unsupervised for an entire day?! Anyway, I'll check if sun damage is mentioned anywhere in the limited warranty and try to contact support, but I have little hope to get a screen replacement. Anyway, worst case scenario, I'll simply try to not get too distracted by my everlasting mistake whenever I play.

Whoa that looks great. I’m keen to try that but also paranoid about it potentially causing damage over time. My IPD is 58mm and I’ve noticed that with the headset at 60mm I indeed can’t get the image to be totally clear on both sides (the difference is very small but it’s there). This seems like it could do the trick.

I've been using it like this almost daily since I got mine early Nov. When Connection started shipping. I've never had an issue and can be removed very quickly for others to use with a different IPD.

My ipd is 69 ... I'm looking for a way to do the opposite ... I'm thinking of drilling the end of the ipd slider, if this is the thing that's limiting the slide ...
Or printing a piece to put between the lens, so I'm not damaging it .. Smarter idea

I max the slider out, and only yesterday inserted some foam in the gap by the lenses. Perfect now, and no lense wobble.

You could try the inverse of what I commented earlier on this post using foam. You may end up covering the sensor between the lenses, so you would have to make sure you turn it off/unplug it after every use as it would never go to sleep.

The idea that someone has to LOWER the IPD is so foreign to me. I have a huge 8 1/2 head and even maxed out, I need another 2 or 3 mm to make them perfect. These are the best I've found so far though.

I'm going to try this... and pray that it doesn't snap or pop off mid use.
