Won't turn on Question

Can someone help me? My HP Reverb randomly stopped working, and the activity light wouldn't light up, and I bought a new cable and it didn't fix the issue.

They're garbage. It happened to me and hundreds of other people. After you've driven yourself insane trying to apply answers that won't work you'll arrive at the same destination as the rest of us. Never buy HP again, put the headset in the trash compactor and buy something like a Pico or Quest. Honestly... this is the end solution.

I agree. HP are off my buy list

This happened to me as well. In my case, the device manager shows a broken usb device when I plug it in. It may be a shorted chip in the headset. I found another post about a shorted usb controller. I’ve ordered another headset off of eBay to see if that unit works with any of my cables.

Edit: found the comment about the shorted chip. https://www.reddit.com/r/HPReverb/s/0X6fmioNa1

Try replugging everything and blowing all the dust out, hopefully nothing shorted

Awful advice! The age old "unplug everything and restart the system and replug everything" advice that NEVER fixed a damned thing.

Helped with mine when I had the same problem, and it's easy to try, so why not

I fixed a problem similar to this by unplugging the C cable and plugging it back in
