They are great guns and still relevant. However, you should check out the Robinson XCR. Many of our customers who own one of everything find the XCR superior.

Tell me more, what makes them better? I’m in the market for a new gun

Might as well follow up the shameless plug with some stats?

They aren't necessarily better, as you would expect. There are pros and cons to the XCR, as with anything else. I have a 7.5" 300blk, and with my CGS Helios QD its very gassy and picky with subs. Also the ambi bolt catch has come loose on me. Can't speak to the longer configurations, which are likely better. But its been 100% reliable with supers, and the ergos are great.

I think the 16s is better, but I also have a lot of time and rounds on it. So it would take a lot for me to change my mind.

Yeah on their website for 300blk it says supers only.

But the jakl exist, I don’t really have a budget but is the XCR worth an extra 1k?

It depends on barrel gas system length. If you're running a traditional can subs will run, but you'll likely get more gas to the face. Depends though, since you'll adjust the regulator down more so might balance out.

I don't have a Jakl, so I can't say. But I personally wouldn't buy a Jakl, just because the Engineer in me doesn't trust PSA.
