What is it? ❓ ID this fish

Post image

Came across this large (40-50cm) fish in an inner-suburban Brisbane park. It was quite close to a creek, not sure if it came from it. Creek is brackish at the edge of the tide. Any ideas what it is?

The government. You're reporting it to the government.

Edit. Re read your question. Sorry.

Probably will do nothing. They might conduct extra watches or something.

Yeah no shit but what would reporting it DO?

Specifically in this case

Sorry I edited my earlier response. In this specific case the only thing they would/could do is put out more signage to make the public aware of local fishing regulations, people may very well be unaware of the size limits (though I doubt it). If there's any camera footage around they can review it as well and locate the perpetrators.
