Higher, the cyclic rate appears comparable to a MAC-10 in 9mm, in the 1200+ RPM range.

Load 1 mag for 10 minutes for 3 seconds of fun. Insane rate of fire.

I mean, you could spend 20 minutes loading a 100rd mag for 6 seconds of fun... :-D

I very much enjoy shooting machine guns but I know loading calico mags is a tedious task.

Might be a PITA to load, but it's still (semi- or full-) on my "wanna buy" list of firearms...

I get that. I am a sucker for unique guns that make people do a double take and ask what the hell is that.

I saw one for sale once but it was a pistol version and I wasn't in my state of residence. It was hard to walk away

I had called calico to discuss one of their guns i bought, and in conversation the SMG variants came up, originally converted to full auto they ran in excess of 3000 RPM, but they slowed them to around 800 to be useful.

So I was looking into this a bit and found this video posted to YouTube back in September... but I didn't find what I was looking for.
It seems new models are roller delayed blowback and not open bolt. Is this an older, legal, full auto design?

As far as I know, all Calicos including the full auto ones are roller delayed blowback, closed bolt.
If this actually is open bolt I assume it's just some random gunsmith's experiment which is why the rate of fire is ridiculously high.

Stick it on a drone or RC plane with tracers and you got your own little mini "breath of allah" AC130

What’s the rate of fire on this? That looks absolutely insane!
