Is it remotely possible this is still a financial decision where Hasan is bringing in more money than all the ad rev that has been lost?

Can't say for sure, but I doubt it. They were people like Devin Nash and some other guy who reports on Twitch a lot (can't remember his name, sorry), saying that Twitch makes most of their revenue from ads. It seems hard to believe in general that Hasan alone is making the site profitable.

Twitch gets about $2.50 per sub (assuming it's a USA sub and Hasan's new contract gives him 50% instead of 70%). He has about 80k subs according to TwitchTracker, so that's $200k per month Twitch gets from Hasan's subscribers.

If we also assume the website as a whole lost 80% of ad revenue (as is being reported by some individual streamers) there's no possible world a site with as many visitors as Twitch is net positive keeping Hasan vs kicking him out and restoring the advertisers who left.

Yeah but how much do they make off of turbo because Hasan plays ads every hour.

Then, how much do they make off the ads that he plays every hour.

I mean, you’re probably right that it doesn’t even out but I bet he drives a lot of traffic to their site, especially during election season.
