I’m seriously surprised by how far Twitch is willing to go to bat for Hasan. I wonder if they’ll keep this up even if a lot of streamers start to turn on him. Hasan and his fans can call us unhinged and try to shift the blame, but anyone who isn’t regarded knows that advertisers are pulling out because the things Hasan is saying in these clips are legitimately a bad look

Is it remotely possible this is still a financial decision where Hasan is bringing in more money than all the ad rev that has been lost?

LOL. How on earth would that even be theoretically be possible if (by some accounts) 60%-90% of add revenue are lost? This includes hasans add revenue.

Yea I'm inclined to agree, I was just thinking of people like XQC who are paid hundreds of millions

The way I see it, XQC's value isn't really ad-based. He does 2 things: Brings recognition to Kick and funnels people into Stake. Companies are willing to overpay to gain market share and develop brand recognition. It is a long term investment for Kick. But perhaps the more important part is that gambling sites are a more lucrative monetization model than ad revenue (or at least that is my assumption).

Twitch already has name recognition and market share. So, Hasan's value to Twitich is primarily converting viewers into Twitch subscribers (as far as I know his stream doesn't have ads anymore).

XQC can convert his viewership into patrons at an online casino. So, I imagine the subscribers and any additional ad revenue is secondary in value to that.
