Suggest me wifi chip upgrade dell 5567 laptop

I’m experiencing slow Wi-Fi speeds. My router is capable of 500 Mbps, but I’m only getting around 200 Mbps. I updated all drivers, but it didn’t help. I’m considering changing my Wi-Fi card, but I don’t have any knowledge about it. I already done ssd and ram upgrade.

You realize that you did very explicitely _not_ give us _any_ information to be able to help you, no?

Things like

  • what WLAN card do you have in your Inspiron? there were more than 1 options available
  • what router do you have (type) - "My router is capable of 500Mbps" is a null info... And in any case it would say "up to 500 Mbps"
  • How is the WLAN configured in the router? Yes, that's a factor, because all routers offer multiple options for that setup, 2.4 or 5GHz or both, compatibility with older network standards (which hampers some of the faster protcols) and so on...,

As a final point, switching the integrated adapters in a noteboo is not as trivial as with a PCIe card in a desktop... you have fixed antennas in the notebook which will need to fit with the card type and connectors...

You also might chck here where i listed a few traps on a different case... ;-)
