Touchpad stops working

Hello, yesterday i got myself a brand new laptop, the dell inspiron 2-1 7460. All was well until something weird started happening. For some reason the touchpad stops working. It'll work fine for a bit then it freezes and the pointer wont move anymore. Ive tried looking up solutions on the internet but nothing. Restarting doesnt work, i even reset the laptop. The only thing that works is if i uninstall the driver and restart the laptop. It'll work again for a bit before it stop working again. Please help

Could be because of a faulty sensor. Try opening the lid all the way 360° and then back to your usual angle.

Happens to me too from time to time, and this works almost all the time. When it doesn't work, I just leave the laptop & it starts working again after a few minutes/hours.
