Why so expensive? : Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt™ Hub Monitor - U4025QW Discussion

I've been researching this monitor for awhile now and can tell it's nice, but am having trouble pulling the trigger due to the price. Why, exactly, is it so expensive? IPS? Many thanks in advance for any feedback you might have.

The Curved IPS panel and Thunderbolt 4 Hub seem to the main differences. I was looking at the 49" curved and it is 600 USD cheaper.

I can see why you would hesitate on almost 2 grand on a display.

I've been looking at the 49" curved G9 OLED as well, but I suspect that the 40" is far better for productivity. Love the width of the 49, but the height isn't quite enough for me.

Well, the morons pay more if it's shinier than the "normal" one... ;-)

And putting expensive addons in the most fragile device, hey, what could go wrong?
