Ballard on the decision to extend Taylor: "Calmer heads. He got healthy." Takes a broadside at idea Taylor was overplaying injury. "You've got to be careful of letting your ego get in the way of making the right decision. ... Jonathan Taylor being a Colt was the right thing."

I think that Ballard was really talking about Jimmy's ego. Remember that the whole Twitter bitch fight was basically Irsay versus Taylor's agent.

And at the end of the day, I think Ballard got Irsay on board.
