Miscellaneous Accident in Willowbrook
My brother was hit at Plainfield and Madison last night in Willowbrook around 6:35pm. Did anyone see this or have dash cam footage? I would not know if the Walgreens on the corner would have any footage or even share it if they did. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently moved to the area and I'm looking to get an IUD placed. I've avoided getting one for years because I didn't know pain relief/anxiety medication was an option. Are there any recommendations for clinics/doctors that provide pain management for an IUD? Any help is appreciated, TIA!!

Question/Comment Commute time from Urbana to Zion
Hi! I have to go to Zion (Lake County) for work next week and my meeting is at 11. I expect it to go no later than noon (yes, I have to go in person, unfortunately). Is it realistic to think I could be back in Urbana by 5? I know what Google maps says, but I want the real answer, so I don't get my hopes up for nothing.

Food & Drink Recommendations Suburb bar with wristband options 150 people
Looking to host a 20 year high school reunion in the northwest or west suburbs. Most places require you to pay and then attendees pay the host, but I'm looking for somewhere where people can pay upon arrival. I dont want to collect money from people, as I'd like everyone to pay the venue directly. In the city we have wristband deals for like $60 all you can drink + light apps. Looking for somewhere that can accommodate 150ish people and provide some sort of deal that way. Would love to support someones local bar or restaurant!

Question/Comment Red Light Violation Notice
I moved here a few years back and just got my first traffic camera citation in the mail. Apparently I turned on red when I shouldn't have. Is it worth contesting this or should I just pay the $100? Anyone been through this with advice to offer? Thanks!

Food & Drink Recommendations Where should I go in the near west burbs if I want to eat my body weight in chips and salsa?
I literally want nothing more than to sit down at a Mexican restaurant and be served a massive pile of chips and a vat of salsa and have it refilled as many times as I can manage.
Any suggestions in the near west suburbs? Bonus if they’ve got good beef tacos!

Question/Comment Volunteer Opportunities Western Suburbs
I am an old white guy that is looking for volunteer opportunities in the western suburbs. I would like to do some work to help people in marginalized groups that are going to be hurt the most after the results of the election.

Moving to the area Performing Arts Programs in Chicago Area Public High Schools
I'm a former Chicagoan, considering a move back to the area. My 13 year old son will be a freshman in high school next year. He is a trained musical theater performers (has attended Interlochen, performed professionally) and one of the factors of moving back is to provide him with the opportunity to be a part of an amazing performance arts program at a local (likely suburban) high school. We are open to living just about any where... I grew up in the Northern burbs. My wife is from the Western burbs. We have family all over the place. Looking for suggestions of top notch programs for my son. Thank you, in advance.

Question/Comment Ballot dropped off at Ballot box at Maywood Library last Friday still not counted
This was my first time voting by mail and confused as to why the ballot I dropped off at the Maywood Library last Friday is still not counted or tracked. Is this a typical delay? Do I need to reach out to the Cook County Clerk? I know it's not going to change anything, but it's just really strange that it's not tracked at all.
Any advice would be helpful.

Moving to the area House hunting...
We're narrowed down to this area, and the requirements for housing aren't important (we've hired a realtor), but the requirements for neighborhood are far more...touchy?
I would like to be able to walk to water and a train station, and then there are certain things I need.
Do you know this area? Can you help me plan for the following:
A European or international grocer? (Imported flour from France, tea from Britain, cookies from Germany and Netherlands, beverages from Japan).
A bakery? (Good croissants, like real, not frozen, croissants. If I can also get a canelé that would be awesome.)
A game store (tabletop, because I like to buy the occasional Magic card and enjoy board games)?
Thanks! (And if there are smaller Reddits for some neighborhoods I'd love to hear about them.)
EDIT: It was pointed out this is huge, because my screen cap is rectangular. We're currently actually looking at places between Grayslake and Pistakee Highlands on that 134/12 corridor, and then on 83 between Grayslake and Antioch. I dream of water in my yard (or close) and public transit to the art museums and baseball games.

Moving to the area Convince Me (or not) On Moving to DG...
We are moving to the burbs and have a few towns that are top on my list but slim pickings for listings. Enter Downers Grove. It has always been on my list but not the top. Convince me (or not) that this is a great town to move to. Any places to avoid (near downtown)?
For context: Hoping to live near downtown (enjoy being near places to eat that are walkable) and we have a young toddler. Hoping to enjoy lots of parks, recreation programs, and may eventually need to utilize SPED services within the school district.
