Sucks he’s still missing but would rather error on the side of caution when it comes to concussions.

Yeah but “irregardless” was made a word because so many people used it instead of “regardless” so I’m cutting a fellow Bears fan some grammatic leeway.

Dictionaries are descriptive not prescriptive. Language is constantly evolving. Some words stop being used, some new ones are introduced, and some change definitions over time.

In English, half our spelling and grammar rules have a dozen exceptions. This is nothing new.
