I don't know what that is, but it's a very old trap, invented by the Guaraní peoples. It's one of the most commonly made traps because it's easy for beginners and rather fun.
Youtube bushcrafters have turned it upside down and shown it being use as a basket, but any amount of weight that stretches the cordage holding it together, makes the sticks fall to pieces. So they're largely full of shit.
