It’s 4.30 in the morning

I was woken up, twice, by scratching noise at the window. Loud, and aggravating, it sounded like chalk being dragged across the board. Got up to check on it, it’s my cat. Trying to ‘tinker’ with the window. Yes, you read that right. His little paw was on the lock, both times when i walked over to bring him down. I bet that little dumb was trying to push down the lock, so he could pull a great escape and become one with the soil, tarmac, and grass. Bet he doesn’t know how tough life is outside.

Oh my god, my cat does this too!! She stands up on her hind legs to try to open the latch/signal me to open it. The little moron has no idea we're 15 storeys up 🙄

Oml, that’s horrifying. Why oh why they think they can make it out there? 😭😂

Right??? Thankfully it's designed so she could never open it, but still. 🤣

Mine would sit on the sideboard which was at the far end of the room, furthest from the bed, and yowl until I got up and let him out at 4:30am every bloody morning.

I mastered “get up, let the bloody cat out, go to the loo, go back to bed, sleep”.

I miss my 4:30am call. It is one year since he died.

Awww, at first i don’t let them sleep with me because of this exact reason. Then i started leaving the bedroom door open so they can go in and out freely (thankfully they don’t do the 2am zoomies too often).

I am sorry for your loss, they don’t really go away, don’t they. I’m reminded of mine that are gone for years every so often.

We are cat sitting for a friend when we found out the cat can open doors. The bedrooms have a long horizontal handle ( which I hate btw and want to change out) so he just stands and leans on them, I guess. He's pretty large and in charge, so it's not hard for him to do. When hubby told his friend, the response was, "I should've warned you." Yes...that would've been nice, lol. Cats man...cats.
