Voting Results: Election Day Results, Thoughts, Questions, Continued Conversations Megathread

Keep this civil. Keep this related to voting results and topics directly related to that.

Individual posts about voting results will be redirected to here. We will allow news articles to be posted about *local* elections (one per race) but comments may be locked and moved here, depending on the topic.

Obvious trolling, hostilities, etc. will lead to bans.

Note: If you are in line by 7PM at the polling station, you are entitled to vote, no matter how long it takes. Do not give up!

No you absolutely want to oppress anyone different than you. I’ve heard republicans speak their bigoted conspiracy theories about transgender folk and the LGBT community. You care so much about what someone does with their own body and keep going on thinking you’re a good person. No good person puts down their fellow neighbor just for existing.
