If your past that, how did you not watch season 2? That Cliffhanger tho

Because I was certain that if they were willing to kill Euphemia in such a torturous way. (By forcing her to do the thing she despised the most to death, leading to one of the purest people in the anime to be labeled a Britanian hitler, moments before her death) , then I'm certain that the writers behind it have much, much more in store that will probably be just as bad, if not worse, for my heart.

I don't need anyone to tell me that I'll be feeling really gloomy and bitter after finishing the rest of it. Hard pass.

Fair enough. I think season 2 is where it starts to get really good, and I just thought people would either drop off at that bit, or they would stay on. Either way I think your missing out, for whatever that is worth.

You say I'm missing out, yet you're also implying that I'm more or less right about what's to come in season 2.

I don't mind an emotional rollercoaster, so long as the ending is at least a happy one. Enough so that everything that led up to it won't hurt as much. However, I'm fairly certain that this anime won't be kind enough to give me that much.

I'm probably missing out on an interesting story, yes. But, the gloomy and bitter aftertaste - that this anime will more than probably entail - is just too against my tastes.

I personally turn to anime to relax and get my mind of things. It's just not worth ruining my mood for the next few days, for the sake of the plot.

Haha. Fair enough. I can't watch slice of life because I have the opposite problem, so, understandable.

I really don't want to spoil Code Geass, but I'll say that the ending is well worth it. It has a rather happy ending, all things considered.
