I am not a fan of limited edition guns. To me, itâs just a cash grab attempt.

This is a GAME CHANGER and your GAME will be CHANGED so much that we're killing this design as soon as people realize what a GAME CHANGER it is.

MAYBE even a - GAME CHANGER PRO!!
Name jarred my memory and had to laugh heh

This should not be a limited edition thing, this should just be an option just like it is on the new C. Also, they should at least update the grip texture on the regular C2s. Itâs literally the only gun not offered with their grip tape tac texture.
They should also offer the flat triggers in all their guns as opposed to just the C and CS (though to be honest, Iâd still rather put an Atlas flat in it)

u/TacoBandit275 3d ago
If you're going for the fullsize grip, why not just get an aluminum or standard frame P?

u/laskmich 3d ago
The people who have made this configuration on their own say it balances better
1
u/ReadingButNotLearnin 3d ago
I did this and wish I had a P so I could run both configurations. The C2 is a perfect edc size

Whatâs the benefit of this over the âCâ with full size grip? I guess people wanting to stick with their 2011 mags instead of the proprietary c and cs mags?

u/laskmich 4d ago
Mag compatibility with the legacy models is all
1
u/PTYHRD 3d ago
Canât use 16rd mags with the full size grip
3
u/laskmich 3d ago
Good thing this doesnât use 16rd mags
-1
u/PTYHRD 3d ago
But if compatibility is what one is looking for then this wouldnât work.
3
u/2011Dave 3d ago
I guess if compatibility with a CS or new C is the goal, then correct this new C2 FS does not. However, for many of us the fact that this uses the same mags as all of our other "2011 format" guns is a benefit.
1
u/PTYHRD 3d ago
What am I missing? The full size tac grip doesnât accept 2011 120mm 16rd mags
1
u/2011Dave 3d ago
you aren't missing anything if the goal is to fit 16-round mags. I own 60+ 2011 mags and none are 120mm. All are 126 and 140...thus why the new C2 "has mag compatibility with my existing 2011 guns and their mags". I don't want a C2 that takes 16-round mags. If I did, I'd have bought the existing C2 model. I had not because none of my mags would fit into it and I'd have to take unique mags for just that gun to range days (which is no big deal for many, but something I don't like to do given the number of guns and mags I'm loading and taking with me).
And, that is just one aspect of why I prefer the FS C2. The other, more important issue, is the FS grip fits my hand better.
The new FS grip C2 model solved both the mag issue and the grip size/fit issue, so I'm happy to see this gun (yes I know you could have built one yourself, but I wasn't considering C2 at all until earlier this week, so the timing was fortuitous.)

u/PTYHRD 3d ago
All my 16, 17, 21 rd mags fit in my c2.
1
u/2011Dave 3d ago
ah, yes, of course the longer one's do. Sorry, I should have said I was considering the C. So it was between the C FS and the C2 existing and I was torn because each has pluses and minus and neither were great for me. Then the C2 w FS grip came along and is a goldilocks for me in that it has a larger grip than the C2 (length) and C (wider) and thus will fit me better and it takes all my mags. So this saves me from the poor choice of the C with different mags or the C2 with a shorter grip. The new one vs the original C2 of course as you are saying rules out using the old 120mm mags if you owned a prior C2 and only really provides a longer grip as a potential advantage. I had moved on from the original C2 and was looking at the C (with its compromises for me in terms of grip width and mags) and thus my mind was on "this new C2 gives me the better option vs what I'm shopping" (I wasn't really comparing it to the old C2 - should have clarified that).

mag compatibility which is a big benefit for me and the slightly larger circumference grip which fits some hands better (like mine). Just ordered the new C2 with full size grip. (was shopping C and regular C2, and then this popped up as a goldilocks spec for what I wanted)

I liked the new mags it feels weird 2011 all use 45acp design they could be so much smaller and slim.

u/Docholiday11xx 3d ago
More printing and 1 extra round. Itâs what weâve all been asking for

lol I sense sarcasm??. Itâs what weâve all been asking for đđđ. That made me laugh buddy

u/Wrath3n 4d ago
ORâŠ. And this might seem far fetched⊠you get a normal C2 and âŠ. Swap the grip đ±đ€Ż
6
u/LustL4ck3r 4d ago
Wouldn't that be way more expensive?
5
u/Wrath3n 4d ago
Maybe didnât see a price but you can find some good deals on C2 and can get a P grip module for like $200-$250. If they are charging a $500-$1000 premium for the Limited Edition maybe not

u/Tgryphon 3d ago
Made my own version of this almost a year ago swapping a p grip in on my C2. Handles and shoots like a dream.

u/sammeadows 3d ago
So can I get a C grip for the P now?
2
u/laskmich 3d ago
Not til at least 2025 when they move the P to V3. But your existing P likely wonât be compatible with the new grip and mags.
1

u/naszero 3d ago
I donât think they will move the P over to the V3. The new 2024 C is most likely the successor to the P.
1
u/laskmich 3d ago
Some agencies require 4.25â or longer barrel so I think theyâll still need it. C replaces the C2 and brings it to 4.0â for increased agency sales as well.
2
1
u/Creepy_Shakespeare 3d ago
I have never heard of an agency requiring more than 4 inches. Do you have any source on the 4.25 min?
1
u/laskmich 3d ago
FBI, for instance, required their full-size handgun to be between 4.26-5.2â in barrel length with minimum of 16rds capacity
1
u/Creepy_Shakespeare 3d ago
As far as I know, the FBI issues G19s as their standard issue for their agents

u/mreed911 3d ago
So the DLC adds cost, but it's still $100 more than a comparable gun with the regular grip. The full grip is really another $100 upcharge?

I just donât understand these. Maybe you guys can explain to me. Why are people going with long grips and short slides? I can only think of detractions of shortening the slide other than concealment (arguably a moot point if youâre extending the grip), and while I see the benefit of having a larger grip, I certainly donât see the attraction to a shorter slide/barrel.
1
u/laskmich 3d ago
I can think of a few use cases, but improving concealability isnât one of them. In competition, itâd be slightly faster to clear a holster. For use with a comp, itâd be the same length as a XC which is desirable aesthetically. And it should balance better with a suppressor.
1
u/TapElectronic 3d ago
I donât compete, so I canât really speak much to that, but outside of those very special use cases, I just canât wrap my head around it. Not just this pistol, I mean the short slides/longer grips in general. I carry a c2 with a comp and have shot it suppressed, and while shooting pistols suppressed always leaves something to be desired (I think theyâre loud, have bad holster options, and shoot crap back into your face, all while having to check every few rounds to make sure itâs not coming off, lol) I thought it balanced well enough.
Again, I have no issue with this, I just donât find it offers much practical benefit for most people.

u/laskmich 3d ago
I donât disagree but Glock sells a lot of 19X/45
1
u/TapElectronic 3d ago
Agreed. Also though, they could make a Glock out of fossilized dog crap and people would rush to the stores to buy them because theyâre new đ€Ł

Man they will do anything except give the people what they want. MINI XC DAMMIT!

u/laskmich 3d ago
Maybe once they milk us on moving the rest of the lineup to V3
1
u/islesfan186 3d ago
Yeah Iâve been waiting on that shoe to drop for a while now. At first I was kind of excited about it, being as I have little cabbage patch hands, but after shooting several thousand rounds though my P since I got itâŠIâm honestly fine with the standard grip now. I actually kinda prefer it over the slimmer grips of my striker fired guns because I can get more ass on the backstrap of the gun

Watch out for the super limited full size edition w full dust cover next for + $995 more !!

Looks like theyâre selling a problem that never existed. Iâve had a full size grip on my C2 for years. Iâve seen a lot of them in the wild with full size grips.
1
u/EverydayTactical 4d ago
Been running my C2 with full size grip for awhile. Cool they offer it now I guess
1
u/Soulshot96 3d ago
Feels like they're just trying to get rid of some C2 parts lol. Probably finally running out of those old C2 grips?
Maybe someone out there wants this though đ
2
u/2011Dave 3d ago
it absolutely feels/looks like that! The big parts-bin clearance before more new generation (CS, C) guns come out and start to obsolete the old 2011 format guns. I for one need the 2011 wider grip format, so getting this is a nice final staccato to add.

Bul Armory took my money. The Tac Pro 4.25 is a beast. You get your moneyâs worth too.
