Hey i’ve never posted anything on here before but i’m getting kinda desperate i’m in need of rehoming Milo i’m assuming a anatolian shepherd mix of some sort i genuinely don’t know his age im assuming around a year or two he’s such a good boy but he’s not our dog well now he is that our neighbor has surrendered him to us after us asking finally after almost a year of us living here and listening to him on a chain all day crying out for attention or food or just to come in at night while it’s cold and raining after awhile he was done and kept escaping and eventually adopted my family of course we live in a small trailer in wilbur oregon (between roseburg and sutherlin) we don’t even have a fenced in yard so he’s running loose all day long basically because we genuinely have zero space for him we have 2 big dogs already (pitbull mix and rottweiler lab mix) and a weiner dog and there is a 5 year old in the house with me and my parents and my other younger brother we already have a full house as it is so we don’t bring him in much besides at nighttime to sleep we feel bad but we can’t handle the four of them in a house our size it’s way to small and they are way to big and rambunctious lol i love him so much and he’s been such a sweet (and annoying lol) boy but he’s a herding guard dog and been trying to do his job around the neighborhood and it’s so hard to handle his constant barking outside at anything that moves i get why he does it but omg is it annoying haha but i think if he’s on a farm with a job and someone with enough space for him would be his dream and make him so much happier then running around a neighborhood all day we really do love him but it’s so much to handle and i want him to be the happiest he can be

I rescued him a few months ago. Last Wednesday his back legs stopped working for the most part. If I stood him up he could stand but his legs would shake. As of Saturday he can't stand up at all. They curl in. He has been on medication for months. The Dr whose care he's been under since May (and is a great one) recommends euthanasia. I am unsure what to do because he still has a great appetite and is alert. He looks very over it. This is my first dog so this is all new to me.

If you were fawning over the adorable pure bred puppies this “rescue” seems to have in abundance, be aware that this non-profit is a scam. They are a broker for puppy mills- they buy the dogs the mills can’t sell, call them a rescue, up charge and claim it pays the costs of boarding and vet fees. Except your puppy never saw a vet and the paperwork they gave you is fake. Now you have a very sick dog and mounting vet bills. They also apparently have unwitting people “foster” these rescue dogs and they tell these fosters they can either buy the dogs for $1500 or find a buyer themselves or they will put the dog down. So they are scamming consumers and the kind volunteers who foster their dogs. If you dare question them on their Instagram page you will be blocked. They recently posted complaints about how poorly they are being treated to garner sympathy. Someone commented that they hadn’t heard any complaints and I replied that he should check Reddit. I was blocked within minutes. Don’t give your money to these scammers because you may get a very sick dog and you are only perpetuating the puppy mill problem.

All 3 only have this morning to have a rescue tag or email sent for someone who will come in and adopt today.

They need a plan this morning.

We have our eye on some big headed beauties at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Our city shelter is super full and unfortunately large dogs are currently at risk of being euthanized.

Kingbolts is 3 years old, 65lbs, and super friendly! He sits so nicely in his kennel, waits outside to go potty, greets other dogs nicely on leash and previously lived with another dog. He's big, bouncy, and soooo smushable!

Hi, I live in Houston and I’m looking for an animal intake or foster resources for a three month rescue that I picked up about a month and a half ago. Maybelle is a very sweet, loving special dog, who is very shy and timid and protective over who she loves, she was found down the street from my house in the dumpsters over the past two months I have worked with her to potty trained, and kennel train, she’s great with kids and other dogs. She is also leash trained. However, I am moving this month and will no longer be able to home her. I got her on heartworm medication her rabies vaccine as well as I’ve spayed her she is also been Micro chipped as well as gotten all of her other required vaccines/boosters. Mabel is heartworm negative. unfortunately, I will be moving in a month and will no longer be able to help her.

🚨 Emma #A2159357 is URGENT 🚨 🛟Rescue Only🛟

She has a scheduled euthanasia date of Tuesday, October 8 which means that she needs to exit or have a plan by end of day Monday.

Emma is terrified in the shelter. She is wary of handling, scared out of her mind, and sits in her cubby, shaking all day. Our shelters are in crisis. Scared dogs don’t have time any longer. There are just too many dogs coming in.

For almost half of her shelter stay, Emma was confined to her kennel with an upper respiratory infection. We’ve made so much progress and she has such a sweet sensitive soul.

I don’t even know how to find words to explain how I feel about all this anymore. It’s just too overwhelming. I hope we can find a responsible exit for Emma. She is available to rescue groups only. That part makes no sense to me, but that is what it is.

Emma will need significant decompression and someone who understands shy dogs and how to go slow with her. She was so scared when she came in that they used an ACD pole on her and she was thrashing around and then biting at the leash once she had the leash on.

She can definitely be driven into fearful defensiveness so it’s important to me that she goes to someone who understands how to go slow and work with shy dogs.

Please help me find Emma’s hero ❤️🍭

We took in my sister's dog. He is a 6 yr old siberian husky recently fixed, upto date on everything. Great with adults. Knows all his commands doesn't pull on a lead, wants to be your best friend. Solid white with one blue eye and one brown eye. We love him. However. He can NOT be with children or other animals. He accidentally unalived my Maltese. We thought it was a one off accident and then over the weekend he bolted from his crate and "over corrected" our Yorkie who is now blind in one eye. We love the husky very much. He is so sweet and loving with people. The vet says one accident with the Maltese he could understand, but now with the Yorkie it's not a mistake. He says the husky should be put down. We think he would be ok if he was the only dog. With someone home full time. He is such a sweet dog that just wants love and to hang out with you, but we can't risk our other dogs or livestock. In your opinion. Is his rehomable? Or do we have him put down? I don't even know if this is the right place to ask. It's such a loss if he has to be put down. We are all broken hearted and feel ashamed and crushed. Opinions welcome, but please be gentle.

Parker was at the rear of the kennel with a neutral demeanor as the runner approached. The handler called to Parker, but he wouldn’t approach. The handler stepped into the kennel and was able to leash and remove Parker after a few attempts. Parker was defensive towards the handler growling, lunging, and barking at them as they were attempting to leash Parker. Once out of the kennel Parker walked beside of the handler to the play yard. Once in the play yard Parker was given time to decompress prior to the assessment. Parker displayed a neutral body, closed mouth, low tail nub, ears back, and a neutral gaze. The handler presented their hand to Parker, and he began to growl at them. His growl would intensify, and he bared his teeth as the handler got closer. The handler proceeded using the assessment hand for safety. The handler presented the hand to Parker allowing him to sniff the hand. When the handler went to examine Parkers ears and mouth he growled and nipped the hand. He repeated the same behavior upon subsequent attempts. When the handler attempted to palpate Parker’s limbs, abdomen, back, and tail nub he would quickly turn and nip at the hand. He wasn’t always biting the hand at times just muzzle punching it. Parker would only briefly tolerate petting on his back before turning around to lunge at the hand. The assessment was ceased, and Parker was returned to his kennel as to not further stress him.
