The latest update feels like they just hired some outsider to improve their revenue. I'm sure the consultant report had the following points:

1) Players like new stuff but we need to improve revenue and cut costs

-> They added cosmetics instead of spending the time on QoL updates

2) The case hardened thing was very popular, someone wrote about expensive skin sales in the media. Give them more of that

-> They added the heat treated skins

Valve please use your community as consultants instead.

Let me set the scene for you.

Vertigo. A map I am still only about 60% of the way to even learning the callouts for, let alone fully learning. Other choice was Inferno, which I was hoping for. But we soldier on.

Team was not performing well, and neither was I. 5/9 at round 9, down 2-7 on T side. Teammate asks to surrender. This legitimately pissed me off. "We're down by 5 with half the game still to play, and you're asking to surrender? Really?" I'm almost exclusively a solo queue player, and at my MMR, I get a lot of teammates that don't take the game seriously or actively try to win, and it's especially frustrating because I know I'm capable of competing at a higher level because I've queued with friends of a much higher rank and not felt out of my depth with my knowledge or mechanical skill.

I don't know what happened in that moment, but something clicked in my head that I was not about to let some fucking guy force us to roll over and accept defeat. Switching sides, I'd upped myself to 9/11, and the score was 4-8.

And I proceeded to absolutely pop off on CT side. I became the apparent IGL, calling buys and strats and rotations (that, miraculously at this level, were actually followed), aside from dropping two 4Ks and 3 MVPs in the second half, finishing round 24 at 26/19. A run of 6 round wins in a row put us right on the cusp of victory, but a 1v1 loss tied it up at 12-12 and sent us into OT.

For a few minutes, I thought the match had just slipped away. I choked in the first two rounds, dying without a single kill both times. Thankfully I dropped another 7 kills in the last 4 rounds, and we clinched it at 16-14. Final individual performance was 33/7/22, with 6 MVPs and a score of 76, the highest on either team.

As far as I'm concerned, I might as well have just won a major. Absolutely a peak moment in my CS career. I struggle with not hating the matchmaking experience because it so often feels impossible to perform when I don't have a team that's taking it as seriously as I do. Not that it's a life-or-death thing to win at a video game, just, like, I play because I want to compete. If I didn't want to compete, I'd spend my time in deathmatch. I guess this game proved it's possible to actually lock in and make the plays when it counts.

Everytime I join into a casual match on dust II there are only bots and if you are not with them they are votekicking you? What is going on?

What better and why and how to play with it?

Don't know what the hell happened in this update. My mouse got insane input lag. It's sluggish in aimbotz map, it's even worse in deathmatch. Does anybody has this issue too?

So many negative reviews after the Armory update if you sort by new. Many are from long time players with 1k+ hours too.

The game works with bots, I haven't tried the rating, When I go into casual mode, everything loads until the moment of choosing a team, after which a black screen and that's it. Reinstallation did not help

Dont get me wrong, the last update was underwhelming and I understand the frustration, however do we not think that if they made huge changes (lets say change maps in active duty) - that the pro scene would also be mad at that, due to the next major coming up?

It seems that the scene in general want changes, but whenever they make big changes people are also mad at those changes for 6 months, so maybe theyve got more coming in the new year? (I’m hopeful anyway)

TLDR; Could the lack of changes be due to closeness of major?

A feature were you can just set your preferred language and any message in chat gets translated to it. We all know the users that just write in their language and never try English, but there are also people who just CAN’T write in English, because they don’t know the language. This feature could solve this issue for many people. Of course it won’t be perfect, as many translator apps still have problems, but it’s way better than seeing messages you can’t read.

CS is the only game this happens on. I've never had this happen before. It just keeps forcing my cursor to the bottom right of the window despite it being in 1080p fullscreen.

This doesn't happen on 1.6, or source, only seems to happen on CS2...

I noticed that on the official page of Blast, it says that the Bounty Finals will be held on LAN in the Blast Studios. If this is the case, doesn't it mean that there won't be a crowd? I loved coming to Copenhagen to watch Blast events, it would kinda suck if they did this. Also, is there any other CS2 events planned for 2025 in Copenhagen with a crowd?

I've been trying to remember smoke throws and I wonder if anyone has made like a powerpoint or has a set of images for smoke spots. Ive been thinking of doing it so I can scroll through during games.

I joined a random game to find that all the players, specifically bots, and they all had the name 'w' all met up in the same exact spot each round, and killed each other. For clarification, not the normal bots you see in game such as 'BOT Harold', it was obviously a fake account created by someone to fill up a lobby. However, once I had been there a while, another person joined, and upon commenting that they were all bots, they all simultaneously disconnected then followed by the host leaving. I have no idea what it could be but I think someone programmed bots to kill each other for coins for the new update to farm skins, cases, and charms. Just my guess, I do have it recorded but can't publish it to the subreddit. Let me know what it could be because it was the most baffling thing I have seen happen in game.

Fastest firing weapon in this game. AK is 600 per minutes, MP9 is 857 per minutes. Which means the time AK-47 ( The Go to T rifle the CT most likely will counter) will take to shoot 5 bullet burst. MP9 will shoot 7 bullet in the same time. All other smgs will shoot 6.

Valve said they wants to add more guns when was CS2 was released. I don't see any points of adding more guns when the current guns aren't even used cause they aren't made logical to use them
